February is lire-a-thon (read-a-thon) month. Look for more information and a calendar in your child's backpack. Track reading minutes and collect donations from family and friends to support the PTO. Funds go towards the intern program and PTO sponsored enrichment. All participants will receive a recognition certificate, and top readers and fundraisers will receive a prize.
FEBRUARY is Black History Month
Students
and families are encouraged to read, talk about and reflect upon Black History
in America this month. The school will be observing the National African American
Parent Involvement Day (NAAPID) on Monday, February 8th. All parents are
welcome to eat lunch with their child for free! At 2:00 PM, the
celebration will continue with a presentation by Mimi Harris and her Dance
Troupe!
