About Mme Yomba

I am Madame   YOMBA Hortense.  I was born and raised in Cameroun, (Central Africa). I am a native French speaker. After completing a Bachelor Degree in French Education, I spent two years in the Teacher training college in Cameroon where I earned the Teacher Diploma (DIPES II).

I taught French for six years in Cameroon at middle and high school level before I moved to the US seven years ago.

Upon my arrival I completed the requirements for a Minnesota K-12 French teaching License and actually, I am a holder of a valid standard K-12 French license of this state.

I volunteered for one year as a French teacher at a Catholic Elementary school in Saint Paul.

I Joined LNFI in 2008 as a teacher assistant, and I had the opportunity to work closely with the students, and get to know them; I also did some tutoring after school which was an amazing experience.

In 2009, I moved to EA (Educational assistant) Health office liaison at LNFI. This new position gave me another opportunity to meet the students in another setting, to provide support, assistance, and also to work closely with parents.

I am very excited to teach 1st grade for the third year and I look forward to an excited and successful school year with my students.

I love to read, travel and dance.

Merci.
