A child may be enrolled in any combination of components listed below (not all sites offer all components).

BEFORE SCHOOL: 6:30 a.m.* to the start of the school day; an informal time of self-directed and structured activities. (Breakfast may be purchased from the breakfast program at the child’s school.)

EXTENDED KINDERGARTEN: From the end of morning kindergarten until the end of the school day, or from the beginning of the regular school day until the beginning of afternoon kindergarten. Children bring a bag lunch or purchase school lunch.

Enrichment activities such as arts/crafts, music, story time, and games, are offered as well as choice time, and rest time.

AFTER SCHOOL: From the end of the school day until 6 p.m.* This is a time for the children to unwind, have a nutritious snack and socialize. Projects, academic enrichment activities, and exercise are offered during this time.

SCHOOL RELEASE: 6:30 a.m. - 6 p.m.* on school release days for conferences, teachers’ meetings, compensatory, and inservice days. Enrollment is optional. These days are often used for field trips. Breakfast and afternoon snack are provided; parents must send a lunch and beverage.

* Eastside (6:45 a.m. - 5:45 p.m).
