L’Etoile du Nord French Immersion (LNFI) is the only French immersion school in St. Paul. Students who begin at LNFI in kindergarten or first grade become functionally bilingual by the end of 5th grade and can continue their French studies through middle and high school. Principal Fatima Lemtouni is a fluent native French speaker who also speaks three other languages – Berber, Arabic and English. She brings a wealth of experience to her new position, including a background in teaching different languages to both native and second-language English speakers.
