L’Etoile du Nord French Immersion (LNFI) is the only French immersion school in St. Paul. Students who begin at LNFI in kindergarten or first grade become functionally bilingual by the end of 5th grade and can continue their French studies through middle and high school. With many native French speakers on staff and a highly-involved parent community, LNFI offers remarkable learning opportunities to our students. More ...

Spring is coming…it really is! And with spring comes the annual LNFI PTO spring event.
This year it’s La Fete du Printemps – the Spring Party!
While the name changed this year, our goal is still the same: raising money to support the LNFI Intern Program and other educational enrichment programs. We’ve made sure to include favorites from years’ past, like great gatherings and classroom art, but we’ve made a few changes and added some activities, too!
We’re excited about the party and hope you’ll join us! It’s taking place at Sweeney’s Saloon on April 26, 2014, from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. and will be a casual, fun, social, adult fundraising event.
We’ve set up a Spring Party Website for you, where you can RSVP, buy admission tickets and learn more about what we have planned.
February is the month to LOVE READING. The Lire-A-Thon helps your children develop a life-long love of reading for pleasure and raises money for our Intern Program. Encourage your children to read a few minutes every day, and to read whatever they choose, in any language.
Track all the minutes you read during February, whether in class, on the bus or at home and whether you read or someone reads to you. Record minutes on your calendar. Invite your friends, relatives and neighbors to sponsor your reading, whether at a certain rate per minute (e.g. 10¢/min) or a fixed amount (e.g. $20).
