Walk-a-Thon 5/16/2008 Dear LNFI Parent, Don't forget the Walk-A-Thon is this Friday, May 16. Ask your child about it—it is popular with the kids. And, like the Read-A-Thon, it reinforces district curriculum and goals. Any pledges you raise or donations you make will help pay for interns Art Adventure drama club/the school play teacher reimbursement for classroom supplies teach appreciation events the school picnic and other social events (for a complete look at where PTO money goes you can check here http://www.frenchimmersion.spps.org/Finance.html). We are $3,000 short of the money we need to have ten interns next year. The intern committee has found a wonderful slate of candidates and, along with school staff, would like to have 12 interns. The PTO is $11,000 short of that goal. You can help bring more interns to the classroom by collecting or making a pledge to the Walk-A-Thon. If every family contributed $30 to this fundraiser, we could support 12 interns. (Feel free to share this to others. Many parents are not on this email list.)
