Trip to France
At the end of their 5th Grade year, L'Etoile du Nord students have the unique opportunity to travel to France along with their peers and teachers. Students stay with a host family, meet French students their age, and see what its like to be in a French school.
At the end of 5th grade, students have the option to go on a trip to France with LNFI teachers and 5th grade peers. Here are some things to know about this exciting opportunity.
France Trip Overview
- L'Etoile du Nord works with a student exchange organization called "Language & Friendship." We have been partnering with this organization for many years.
- There will be an information meeting at the beginning of each school year. At this meeting, Mme Vang and a representative from Language and Friendship discuss the program, dates, cost, etc. and answer parents questions.
- This trip is led by volunteer LNFI teachers.
- Students and teachers will be hosted by French families.
- Prior to the trip, participants meet with LNFI teachers after school on a weekly basis to prepare and learn the expectations of international travel with our school.
Host a French Student
In addition to our students going to France, L'Etoile du Nord often hosts French students from this program to come to our school for two weeks. French students are placed with our LNFI families on a volunteer basis. Hosting is another wonderful opportunity for the whole family to create an international friendship and learn more about another culture.
