STIMA

STIMA is a place where students can explore, imagine, problem solve, and create. Students are encouraged to think outside-the-box, be curious, ask big questions, and try new things.STIMA is the French equivalent of "STEAM" in education. It stands for:

  • Sciences (Science)
  • Technologie (Technology)
  • Ingénierie (Engineering)
  • Maths (Math)
  • Arts (Art)

In STIMA class, students use both technology and hands-on materials to create new things and explore their curiosities. Legos, marble runs, iPads, and a large collection of robotic equipment. are amongst some of the tools used in class.

STIMA class promotes creativity, collaboration, problem-solving, critical thinking, and respect for diverse perspectives. A multicultural emphasis is placed on recognizing the work of BIPOC and female individuals who have done great things in the world of science, technology, math, and engineering.
