STIMA
STIMA is a place where students can explore, imagine, problem solve, and create. Students are encouraged to think outside-the-box, be curious, ask big questions, and try new things.STIMA is the French equivalent of "STEAM" in education. It stands for:
- Sciences (Science)
- Technologie (Technology)
- Ingénierie (Engineering)
- Maths (Math)
- Arts (Art)
In STIMA class, students use both technology and hands-on materials to create new things and explore their curiosities. Legos, marble runs, iPads, and a large collection of robotic equipment. are amongst some of the tools used in class.
STIMA class promotes creativity, collaboration, problem-solving, critical thinking, and respect for diverse perspectives. A multicultural emphasis is placed on recognizing the work of BIPOC and female individuals who have done great things in the world of science, technology, math, and engineering.
