Discovery Club

Discovery Club is Saint Paul Public Schools' year-round, fee-based child care for children enrolled in Pre-K through 5th grade. Program sites open at 6:30 a.m. and close at 6:00 p.m. Discovery Club offers choice based learning opportunities for all students in our care. We offer a 1:10 ratio with PreK and a 1:15 ratio for K-5.  

Why choose Discovery Club?

Our program is intentionally planned to meet the needs of the child as a whole. Fun enrichment activities are offered and children enjoy a wide variety of literacy, art, music, drama, and science activities, organized games/sports, service learning projects, and field trips. These activities and others, engage children in new learning experiences and give children hands-on opportunities to practice the academic skills they learn during the school day.

Important information to know:

• A minimum enrollment of 3 days a week, per registered care session, for 24-25 contracts. Contracted days must remain the same each week

• A $49/child non-refundable registration fee will be charged at the time the contract is processed. It can take up to 2 weeks to process contracts received.

• Register for care sessions based on your child's school start/end times

Before School Care

• Offered for students attending 8:30am or 9:30am start time schools.
• No before school care is offered for 7:30 am school start schools
• 6:30-9:30am = $18.00/day

After School Care

• Starts at the end of the child's attending school
• 4:00-6:00pm = $12.00/day
