About Mme Ananou
Bonjour!
My name is Hélène Ananou and I’m your Kindergartner’s teacher this year. I started teaching at L’Etoile du Nord in 2013 and have taught several grades and specialties. I’m originally from Togo (West Africa), a French-speaking country where I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Language Arts and a Master’s in Linguistics before I moved to the US in 2007. I completed my elementary teaching license and a Master’s in Art of Teaching at Hamline University in 2018.
I enjoy reading, cooking and hanging out with friends and family. I have a daughter, Mariella, a former LNFI student, who is pursuing her French Immersion pathway at Central high school.
I like teaching at LNFI because of the cultural diversity and the joy of seeing my students grow and speak French. 😊
