About Mme Bissoy
I was born and raised in Cameroon, Central Africa. After obtaining my High School Diploma in Science and Mathematics, I entered Ecole Nornale Supérieure (High Teacher Training College) to become a Science Teacher.
- 1985: I got my First teaching License for Middle School General Science. The same year I also obtained a Bachelor degree in Botany (Plants Science).
- 1985-1989: I was a Mathematics and General Science teacher in a middle school (CES of Elig Essono).
- 1989: While still teaching in Middle school, I went back to Ecole Normale Supérieure.
- 1991: I obtained my 2nd teaching certificate for High School Life and Earth Science Teacher, and a Master degree in Eco-Physiology and Water Purification by Plants.
- 1991-1999: Maths and science teacher in Middle an High School Lycée D'Ekounou, Collège Montesquieu.
During my years of teaching in Cameroon, I was part of many curriculum Writing, Science Exams Writer, and a Mentor for new science teachers for many years. For my extracurricular activities, I was an advocate of Human Rights, African Women Rights, & Children Rights. I was also a Member of EIP (Ecole Instrument de Paix) and DEI (Defense de L'Enfant International).
- October 1999: I moved to the USA.
- 2000-2002: I taught 4th grade at Longan French Magnet in Kansas City, Missouri.
- After moving to Minnesota, I was a Substitute Teacher in Minneapolis Public Schools. Then I was a1st grade teacher at Harvest Preparatory School.
- 2002-present: I have been the Science teacher at LNFI.
I work a lot with the Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) for Curriculum Reviews, Items Writer for science exams, and Data Reviews.
I love my family, my students, socializing with friends, traveling and cooking.
