About Mme Bozvay

Welcome to ELL!

My name is Mme Roni Bozvay and I am the ELL teacher at Upper Campus. I am a St. Paul native, having been born in the city, attended St. Paul schools as a child, and have been teaching in St. Paul Public Schools since 1994. I have taught on the Eastside since beginning in the district, and love the area, culture, and families I serve. Throughout my career, I have taught just about every grade level as a classroom teacher. In 2014, I pursued an ESL teaching license and moved into the role of ELL teacher at L'Etoile du Nord. While I loved my time as a classroom teacher, I was ready for a change and new challenge in my career. I have worked extensively with ELL students and families in the mainstream classroom, but, I wanted to focus more directly on educating the unique EL learners in our district. Therefore, I returned to Grad school for a second time to get my ESL licensure. I have not regretted it for one minute! I love my role as an ELL teacher at L'Etoile du Nord, and having the opportunity to work with, and support, my students and families more deeply.

I am excited to be a part of the LNFI community, and to grow as a French learner alongside my students. I have a tremendous respect for the multi-lingual students that I work with. Most of my students speak 3 languages! How incredible they are! I also love getting to know about my students' culture, language, and experiences. They bring such a richness to our ELL classroom.

Every year is a new challenge and journey, and I am looking forward to taking this journey with your child. Thank you for this opportunity!
